SICK,DESPERATE AND STUPID!
LOS ANGELES ( KTLA) -- (KTLA) Los Angeles County sheriff's officials on Thursday released information about videotaped sex assaults against disabled women in hopes of catching the suspects.
Detectives say eight men were involved in the attacks on at least 10 women who were physically and mentally disabled.
Many of the victims, between the ages of 20 and 40, were bedridden.
"These victims are severely disabled. Many of them appear to be unable to move and most of them are wearing diapers," one investigator said.
Officials say an anonymous individual mailed a computer hard drive containing over 100 hours of video.
At least one suspect, seen in a wheelchair, is believed to be a patient.
The footage was shot at several locations, including one that appears to be a residential care facility.
The video is not being released but composite drawings of four of the suspects have been created based on the video footage.
Investigators say they need the public's help because they don't know when or where the attacks took place, or who was involved.
