Digusting: Suspect in custody after woman, infant thrown out window

Two women, baby injured in domestic violence incident Late Friday night, Jersey City police made it official - announcing the arrest of Frederico Bruno.

Bruno is accused of pushing his ex-girlfriend and 3-month-old son out of a third floor window.

Law enforcement sources told Eyewitness News a tip led them to Watsessing Avenue in Belleville.
Bruno's brother Jeff Agnant lives there.

Belleville Police called in the Newark Swat team who then went door-to-door after evacuating the building. They found Bruno hiding in the refrigerator. His brother said he can't believe it came to all of this.
"Emotions are high right now that's what matters most is the baby," said Agnant.

It all started shortly before 7 a.m. on Friday. According to police, Bruno was hiding in his ex-girlfriend's third floor Rutgers Avenue apartment. She walked in with a female friend, and according to investigators, Bruno stabbed the friend multiple times. Then police say he stabbed his ex-girlfriend numerous times before he threw her out the window with their 3-month-old son. However, the brutal attack didn't end there.

"That wasn't the end-he beat her again with a table," said Jersey City Police Chief Tom Comey. A video shows the first responders' efforts to treat one of the adult victims and the 3-month-old. A firefighter cradled the child in his hands, rushing him away from the scene. The Police Chief vowed that his officers would not rest unto Bruno was in custody. On Friday night he was.

Jeff Agnant insists he never saw this coming, and that he is still in shock. All three victims are in critical condition, and the three-month-old boy is said to be fighting for his life.

Teacher's Aide Charged After Daughter Found Naked, Eating Trash

Tracy Betts, 40.EMECULA, Calif. (KTLA) -- A teacher's aide has been charged with child endangerment after leaving her 12-year-old daughter naked in a car outside her school.

Tracy Lynn Betts, 41, is accused of parking her car near Vail Elementary School where she worked and leaving the girl inside, according to the Riverside County district attorney's office.

Betts walked to work after allegedly abandoning the girl, according to the district attorney's office.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the area after a 911 caller reported seeing a naked girl walking through the neighborhood, fishing food from trashcans.

"Officers found the girl hiding in a car belonging to Betts," the district attorney's office said in a statement.

"The passenger-side window was cracked about an inch and there was no food, water or clothing found in the car."Sheriff's officials say Betts apparently took her daughter's clothes to prevent her from leaving the vehicle.

Neighbors told officials the child was trying to cover herself with a car floor mat.The child was placed in protective custody in February.Information about her current status was not immediately available.

If convicted, Betts could serve up to one year in jail.

RIP: Sherman Hemsley Dead: 'The Jeffersons' Actor Dies At 74

Sherman Hemsley, known for his starring role on "The Jeffersons," has died at age 74.
Although the cause of Hemsley's death is unclear, TMZ reports that the actor passed away at his El Paso, Texas, home.

Hemsley made a name for himself as George Jefferson, carrying the iconic sitcom for a decade and earning a 1984 Emmy nomination for his work as lead actor in a comedy series. The actor went on to appear on a handful of other classic television shows including "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and "The Hughleys."

He also starred as Deacon Ernest Frye on the NBC series "Amen" for several years.

The Philadelphia born and raised sitcom actor was also an accomplished singer, recording the 1989 single "Ain't That a Kick in the Head" and releasing his R&B album, "Dance," in 1992.

Before becoming a household name, Hemsley served in the Air Force for four years -- dropping out of high school to do so -- before going on to work for the post office for eight years.

Hemsley had no wife or kids.

Greed: Katherine Jackson's Attorney MJ's Kids Were 'Ambushed'

Katherine Jackson's legal team claims Michael Jackson's siblings have concocted a diabolical plot to remove Katherine from her home and her "beloved grandchildren" ... and part of the plan involved ambushing MJ's children.

Katherine's attorney released a statement saying, "Yesterday afternoon certain Jackson family members ambushed Katherine Jackson’s home after their vehicle tore through security gates on the tails of the SUV containing Michael Jackson’s children."

"After exiting their vehicles, Jackson family members ran up to Michael’s children as they yelled and began to aggressively grab at the cell phones in their hands. Out of concern for the well being of Prince, Paris, and Blanket Jackson, the children were forced to temporarily leave their home and taken to a safe location. An altercation ensued shortly thereafter and law enforcement arrived at the scene."

The statement continues, "Following the incident, it was learned that one of the family members who was part of the ambush admitted that a plan has been in place for the last three years to remove Katherine Jackson from her home and her beloved grandchildren."

"Prince, Paris, and Blanket Jackson have not heard from their grandmother since she left their home nine days ago to attend a series of her sons’ concerts on their Unity Tour. She never made the shows. Despite efforts to interview Katherine Jackson at her current location in Arizona yesterday, Los Angeles County Sheriffs confirmed that they were denied access to Mrs. Jackson by security for one of her children. “

The Michael Jackson Estate has also released a statement saying, "We are acutely concerned about the welfare of Mrs. Jackson, and most particularly with Michael's minor children."

The statement continues, "We are concerned that we do what we can to protect them from undue influences, bullying, greed, and other unfortunate circumstances. While we do not have standing to directly intervene, we have monitored the situation and will continue to do so. We believe measures are being put in place that will help protect them from what they are having to deal with."

Family Drama: Michael Jackson Estate Executors Seek Guardianship of MJ's Kids

The executors of Michael Jackson's estate will go to court to seek an emergency guardianship of Michael's 3 kids ... alleging that Katherine has been effectively kidnapped by Michael's siblings and as a result his kids are in danger and without supervision.

Sources very familiar with the situation state the executors feel responsible for protecting the kids  and  since the kids are the primary beneficiaries of their father's estate.

Katherine went off the radar more than a week ago leaving her grandkids behind as Janet, Jermaine, Randy, Rebbie and Tito executed a long-standing plan to convince Katherine that Michael's will was a fraud and the executors had to go.

Sources state that this plan has been in the works for months, but here's the problem ... Even if the will was invalidated, MJ's brothers and sisters would get zilch because the prior will also gives them nothing.

And, although we're told Randy wants to make a move to replace the executors, that would never happen. First of all, the executors will not be removed. And second, even if they were removed, the court would never appoint someone with no background in finances.

We're told the executors are drafting the guardianship papers now and they expect to file in the probate court in the next few days.

Penn State Sanctions: $60M, bowl ban and Wins Vacated

The NCAA has hit Penn State with a $60 million sanction, a four-year football postseason ban and a vacation of all wins dating to 1998, the organization said Monday morning.

The career record of Joe Paterno will reflect these vacated records, the NCAA said.

Penn State must also reduce 10 initial and 20 total scholarships each year for a four-year period.
The NCAA revealed the sanctions as NCAA president Mark Emmert and Ed Ray, the chairman of the NCAA's executive committee and Oregon State's president, spoke at a news conference in Indianapolis at the organization's headquarters.

"In the Penn State case, the results were perverse and unconscionable," Emmert said.
"No price the NCAA can levy with repair the damage inflicted by Jerry Sandusky on his victims," he said, referring to the former Penn State defensive coordinator convicted of 45 counts of child sex abuse last month.

The NCAA said the $60 million was equivalent to the average annual revenue of the football program. The NCAA ordered Penn State to pay the penalty funds into an endowment for "external programs preventing child sexual abuse or assisting victims and may not be used to fund such programs at the university."

With the wins from 1998-2011 vacated, Paterno drops from 409 wins to 298, dropping him from first to 12th on the winningest NCAA football coach list. Penn State will also have six bowl wins and two conference championships erased.

The Penn State athletic program will also be put on five-year probation and must work with an athletic-integrity monitor of NCAA's chosing.

"There is incredible interest in what will happen to Penn State football," Ray said at the news conference. "But the fundamental chapter of this horrific story should focus on the innocent children and and the powerful people who let them down."

The NCAA's announcement followed a day after Penn State removed Joe Paterno's statue outside Beaver Stadium, a decision that came 10 days after a scathing report by former FBI director Louis J. Freeh found that Paterno, with three other top Penn State administrators, had concealed allegations of child sexual abuse made against Sandusky.

The Freeh report concluded their motive was to shield the university and its football program from negative publicity.

Recession: US poverty on track to rise to highest since 1960s

WASHINGTON (AP) — The ranks of America's poor are on track to climb to levels unseen in nearly half a century, erasing gains from the war on poverty in the 1960s amid a weak economy and fraying government safety net.
Census figures for 2011 will be released this fall in the critical weeks ahead of the November elections.
Poverty is spreading at record levels across many groups, from underemployed workers and suburban families to the poorest poor. More discouraged workers are giving up on the job market, leaving them vulnerable as unemployment aid begins to run out. Suburbs are seeing increases in poverty, including in such political battlegrounds as Colorado, Florida and Nevada, where voters are coping with a new norm of living hand to mouth.
Fritz says she grew up wealthy in the Denver suburb of Highlands Ranch, but fortunes turned after her parents lost a significant amount of money in the housing bust. Stuck in a half-million dollar house, her parents began living off food stamps and Fritz's college money evaporated. She tried joining the Army but was injured during basic training.
Now she's living on disability, with an infant daughter and a boyfriend, Garrett Goudeseune, 25, who can't find work as a landscaper. They are struggling to pay their $650 rent on his unemployment checks and don't know how they would get by without the extra help as they hope for the job market to improve.
In an election year dominated by discussion of the middle class, Fritz's case highlights a dim reality for the growing group in poverty. Millions could fall through the cracks as government aid from unemployment insurance, Medicaid, welfare and food stamps diminishes.
"The issues aren't just with public benefits. We have some deep problems in the economy," said Peter Edelman, director of the Georgetown Center on Poverty, Inequality and Public Policy.
He pointed to the recent recession but also longer-term changes in the economy such as globalization, automation, outsourcing, immigration, and less unionization that have pushed median household income lower. Even after strong economic growth in the 1990s, poverty never fell below a 1973 low of 11.1 percent. That low point came after President Lyndon Johnson's war on poverty, launched in 1964, that created Medicaid, Medicare and other social welfare programs.
The analysts' estimates suggest that some 47 million people in the U.S., or 1 in 6, were poor last year. An increase of one-tenth of a percentage point to 15.2 percent would tie the 1983 rate, the highest since 1965. The highest level on record was 22.4 percent in 1959, when the government began calculating poverty figures.
Poverty is closely tied to joblessness. While the unemployment rate improved from 9.6 percent in 2010 to 8.9 percent in 2011, the employment-population ratio remained largely unchanged, meaning many discouraged workers simply stopped looking for work. Food stamp rolls, another indicator of poverty, also grew.
Demographers also say:
—Poverty will remain above the pre-recession level of 12.5 percent for many more years. Several predicted that peak poverty levels — 15 percent to 16 percent — will last at least until 2014, due to expiring unemployment benefits, a jobless rate persistently above 6 percent and weak wage growth.
—Suburban poverty, already at a record level of 11.8 percent, will increase again in 2011.
—Part-time or underemployed workers, who saw a record 15 percent poverty in 2010, will rise to a new high.
—Poverty among people 65 and older will remain at historically low levels, buoyed by Social Security cash payments.
—Child poverty will increase from its 22 percent level in 2010.
Analysts also believe that the poorest poor, defined as those at 50 percent or less of the poverty level, will remain near its peak level of 6.7 percent.
Arriving from Cuba in 1980, he was able to earn a decent living as a plumber for years, providing for his children and ex-wife. But things turned sour in 2007 and in the past two years he has barely worked, surviving on the occasional odd job.
His unemployment aid has run out, and he's too young to draw Social Security.
Holding a paper bag of still-warm bread he'd just bought for lunch, Gorrin said he hasn't decided whom he'll vote for in November, expressing little confidence the presidential candidates can solve the nation's economic problems. "They all promise to help when they're candidates," Gorrin said, adding, "I hope things turn around. I already left Cuba. I don't know where else I can go."

RIP: Kile Glover, Usher's Stepson, Dies After Jet Ski Accident

Less than a month after Usher's stepson Kile Glover was declared brain dead after a brutal jet ski accident on July 8, Glover has passed away. TMZ reports that the 11-year-old died Saturday morning after being taken off of life support.
The mother of Glover, Tameka Foster, allegedly made the tough decision after being told that a full recovery was not likely. She is also said to have been unable to pay the medical bills required to keep her son on life support, after the family's insurance company coverage expired.

Foster and the R&B singer married in August 2007 in a lavish ceremony; they divorced in 2009, after less than two years of marriage. Despite a lengthy and nasty custody battle (over their two sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond) that ensued in the aftermath of their marriage, Usher has reportedly been of great support to Foster, flying down to Georgia and spending time with the family.

Prayers and Thoughts to the Family.

12 Left Dead and 50 Injured at Movie Theater Shooting!!

A heavily armed man entered a movie theater in suburban Denver early Friday and opened fire, killing at least 12 people and injuring 50 others.

The incident, which took place about 12:30 a.m. at the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colo., occurred during midnight screenings of the new Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises."
"This is a horrific event," Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates said during a news conference.

The gunman, who was wearing a gas mask, reportedly set off a smoke or tear gas bomb then walked up to the front of the screen in one of the theaters and opened fire.

When the movie patrons realized the attack was real and not part of the movie, pandemonium erupted and they began to flee. The film continued to play on the screen as bloodied customers took refuge outside. According to witnesses on the scene, some of the bullets also went through the walls of an adjacent theater, injuring patrons.

“There was this one guy on all fours crawling. There was this girl spitting up blood. There were bullet holes in some people’s backs, in some people’s arms. There was one guy who was just stripped down to his boxers. It looked like he had been shot in the back or something,” Donovan Tate, who escaped from the packed theater with his girlfriend, told CBS4.

Soon after receiving a flood of 911 calls, hundreds of police officers, ambulance and emergency crews arrived on the scene. The suspect was found near a car behind the theater and arrested. He was dressed in black, carrying a knife, rifle and a handgun, and wearing a bulletproof vest.

"He did not resist," police spokesman Frank Fania. "He did not put up a fight."
The shooter's identity has not been released but he is thought to be in his early 20s. A motive for the attack is unknown.

Police also searched the suspect's North Aurora home after he spoke of "possible explosives in his residence," Oates said. Authorities evacuated the building as a precautionary measure.

The police originally announced that 14 people had been killed in the attack, but revised the death toll around 7:45 a.m. ET, NBC News reported.

At this time, there is no evidence of additional shooters.
President Barack Obama, who is in Palm Beach, Fla., was notified of the shooting by Homeland Security Advisor John Brennan at 5:26 a.m. ET. He released the following statement:
"Michelle and I are shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado. Federal and local law enforcement are still responding, and my Administration will do everything that we can to support the people of Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time. We are committed to bringing whoever was responsible to justice, ensuring the safety of our people, and caring for those who have been wounded. As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and challenge, we must now come together as one American family. All of us must have the people of Aurora in our thoughts and prayers as they confront the loss of family, friends, and neighbors, and we must stand together with them in the challenging hours and days to come."
GOP challenger Mitt Romney said he and his wife Ann are "deeply saddened" by the shooting.
"We are praying for the families and loved ones of the victims during this time of deep shock and immense grief. We expect that the person responsible for this terrible crime will be quickly brought to justice."
The theater where the attack took place is just about 25 miles from Columbine High School, where two students shot and killed 13 people in 1999.

'Miami Zombie Attack' Pranksters Arrested After Newest Prank Fails

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- This time they picked the wrong guy to prank.

The guys behind the YouTube sensation "Miami Zombie Attack Prank!" found themselves getting attacked after an ill-advised attempt to punk a Boca Raton man went awry and the victim went ballistic on the two filmmakers.

And if getting chased and nearly beaten wasn't enough for their troubles, both of the pranksters was jailed now faces a felony bomb hoax charge.
Jonathan Vanegas, 20, of Delray Beach, spent Friday night in the Palm Beach County Jail. His filmmaking partner, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, 20, also of Delray Beach, later voluntarily surrendered to Boca Police, according to his lawyer.
Vanegas said he could still barely believe what happened.

"We go to the Boca jail, I'm shirtless for about four hours until I go to the county jail," Vanegas said, saying his shirt came off in the melee. "It wasn't that bad, but the worst part about it was that I was detained on the first floor with 16 other cellmates and we don't have beds or anything."

While Vanegas was willing to meet with a reporter to talk about the incident, Zdorovetskiy was initially wary of showing his face in public because of fears that he would be arrested. He later turned himself in after an arrest report outlining Friday's incident said that probable cause existed for his arrest. But Zdorovetskiy said Monday he doesn't regret the prank.

"I'm just sad the person got that upset," Zdorovetskiy said.
The video, "Russian Hitman Prank Gone Wrong!" had 120,000 views by Monday night. It shows Zdorovetskiy approaching a man outside the Publix at 1001 S. Federal Highway in Boca Raton.
approaches the victim, telling him they have both 60 seconds to get away from the briefcase.

The victim, appearing panicked, runs along with Zdorovetskiy. Their encounter goes south when the filmmaker tells the prank victim it was only a joke, that the entire episode was being filmed.
At this point, the victim starts chasing Zdorovetskiy and Vanegas, shouting angrily at the two. At one point, he appears to pull Vanegas, who was holding the camera, down to the ground.

The victim was identified in the police report as Andre Brown, 51, but there was no other contact information and he could not be reached for comment on Monday.

Zdorovetskiy seemed surprised that the video prank had resulted in law enforcement intervention.
"The bomb squad came. Can you believe that?" Zdorovetskiy said. "The bomb squad came for this prank. It's unbelievable how law is these days."

Zdorovetskiy, the lead filmmaker behind the VitalyzdTV YouTube channel, said he apologized to Brown.Brown, however, didn't want to hear it, Zdorovetskiy said.

"He attacked me, my camera guy, he threw me on the floor, he threw my camera guy on the floor," said Zdorovetskiy, 20. "I was just screaming back 'Sorry, I apologize.' "
In Delray Beach Monday, Vanegas was asked if the man was somehow in on the stunt.
"No, of course not," Vanegas said.

Hyena Pack Attacks Sleeping Family, Kills 2 Kids

A pack of hyenas killed two children and injured six other members of a family when the beasts attacked in the middle of the night.

The Kenya Wildlife Service is airlifting one of the survivors, a 10-year-old boy who was mauled in the attack last week, to a hospital in the capital city of Nairobi to get better medical care.
"The boy's condition has since deteriorated," said the KWS which is assisting the family and paying for their medical care.

The family was attacked July 10near Dilmanyale village while sleeping inside their traditional family compound, called a manyatta. The KWS said it took immediate action to prevent further attacks by the aggressive animals.

"Rangers pursued and eliminated the hyenas," the KWS said in a statement.

Hyenas are most commonly known as scavengers that eat the remains of dead animals left by other predators, but as this incident demonstrates, they can also be bold and powerful hunters. According to the African Wildlife Foundation hyenas can weigh up to 190 pounds, and despite their reputation as "laughing" cowards that usually go after the easiest prey, they can be quite dangerous.

The nocturnal hunters are coming into conflict with humans more frequently as the human population increases in Africa. In some places, especially where they have attacked livestock, hyenas are heavily hunted as pests. The KWS said its rangers are working in the community near the recent attack to educate people about ways to prevent conflict with hyenas and other wild animals.

Mental Illness or Drugs?!

A 21-year-old Morgan State University student told investigators that he ate the heart and portions of the brain of a man whose dismembered remains were found in his Joppa home, according to a grisly account from the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
The arrest of Alexander Kinyua came almost a week after Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, went missing, and followed a search of the home the two men apparently shared in the 500 block of Terrapin Terrace in Joppatowne early Wednesday morning, police said.
Kinyua, an electrical engineering student who until January was involved in the ROTC program at Morgan, was ordered held without bail at a court appearance Thursday afternoon.
Monica Worrell, a spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, said today that Agyei-Kodie had been reported missing, but information collected by detectives "didn't pass the smell test." On Monday, police released a public appeal for help in locating him.
Late Tuesday night, Antony Kinyua, notified police that his son, Kinyua's brother, had found what they believed were human remains in the basement of the house, according to charging documents. Upon their arrival, Jarrod Kinyua told police he found a human head and two human hands inside metal tins, under a blanket in the laundry room.
When he asked Alexander Kinyua about the remains, Jarrod Kinyua said his brother denied that they were human and said they were animal remains, according to charging documents. After calling his father, Antony Kinyua, downstairs, the pair discovered the remains had been moved and Alexander Kinyua was washing out the metal tins.
With a search and seizure warrant for the location, deputies were able to locate the head and hands on the main floor of the house, according to charging documents. They also interviewed Alexander Kinyua, who allegedly admitted that he had killed Agyei-Kodie by cutting him up with a knife and afterward, ingested his heart and portions of his brain.
Kinyua also directed police to Towne Baptist Church, in the 500 block of Trimble Road, to find the rest of the remains, which were found in a Dumpster on the property, according to charging documents.
The case comes on the heels of shocking incidents in cities like Miami, where a naked man believed to be high on bath salts ate another man's face, and New Jersey, where a man disemboweled himself and reportedly threw his intestines at police officers. Police there say they aren't sure whether the man, Wayne Carter, was on drugs or suffering from mental illness.
At his first court appearance, defense attorney Lynne McChrystal requested that reasonable bail to be set in the case, adding that Kinyua has been in Harford County for six years and in Marylandfor nine years. He is self-employed and performs consulting work, she added.
Upon questioning by Judge John L. Dunnigan, Kinyua said that all of his family members resided in Maryland and he was originally from Nairobi, Kenya.
Assistant State's Attorney Trenna Manners cited those out-of-country ties, as well as the "grisly" nature of the crime, when she asked for Kinyua to be held without bail.
The charges are not Kinyua's first in recent weeks, and a previous arrest and Kinyua's online postings point to a troubled man. In January, he was disenrolled from the ROTC program after two-and-a-half-years of participation, said Lt. Col. James Lewis, a professor of military service who oversees the program. Officials said it followed a disciplinary incident.
Then on May 20, Kinyua, who otherwise does not have a criminal record in Maryland, was charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment in Baltimore in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 19 at the Thurgood Marshallapartments, according to court records.
In that case, according to police, Kinyua "randomly" attacked another Morgan State student in a doorway of the apartment complex with a baseball bat, then fled into a nearby wooded area. The victim, listed as Joshua Ceasar, suffered fractures to his skull, arm, shoulder, as well as blindness to his left eye. The first responding officer saw Ceasar stumbling toward her, with blood coming from his forehead, and the officer noted a large amount of blood in the doorway.
Kinyua was ordered held on $220,000 bond in that case, and university officials said the school was in the process of expelling him.
On May 25, what appeared to be a plea from his parents for help paying Kinyua's legal fees in the case from was posted on the website Mwakilishi.com, a Kenyan news site. The post, which has since been removed, said Kinyua had been arrested for "being involved in a fight in his dormitory room at Morgan State University."
The online plea says, "In order to get him the best defense possible, we need to secure an attorney who will take his case and leave no stone unturned."
It also states a fundraising event was scheduled at the International Christian Community Church on Sunday. He was scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing in that case June 19.
In the days prior to the arrest, he had posted several strange messages on his Facebook page, in all capital letters. In two of the posts, he uploaded "QR Codes," bar code images that when scanned with a smart phone lead to a web page. They both led to the following message about the "destruction of the black family":

The Miami Zombie!!

The homeless man whose face was chewed off by the “Miami Zombie” was identified Tuesday as a bearded, 65-year-old drifter with a long criminal record.

Ronald Poppo was clinging to life at Jackson Memorial Hospital, with only his goatee left intact.

Gruesome photos circulating on the Internet show wounds so extensive that recovery appears unlikely.

Poppo, who may have originally been from New York but spent four decades on the streets in South Florida, was a regular under the bridge where he was attacked Saturday by Rudy Eugene, 31.

While witnesses might rather forget what they saw, cops were pleading for them to share every detail.

“We know that there were many people on the MacArthur Causeway and we’re hoping they come forward,” said Detective William Moreno.

Eugene died in a hail of police bullets after an initial shot failed to stop him from tearing away and swallowing chunks of Poppo’s face.

Eugene was a former high school football player who listed his cell phone as his only asset when he divorced in 2005 after two years of marriage.

He had a half dozen misdemeanor arrests, mostly for smoking pot.

The Miami Herald reported that his victim had been arrested 24 times since 1978, mostly for drinking in public. He lived in New York and New Orleans before landing in South Florida, the paper said.

Cops and the hospital have been unable to locate a next of kin, or even any friends.
His ex-wife, however, told Local 10 News she ended her two-year marriage to Eugene because he became increasingly hostile.
"I wouldn't say he had (a) mental problem but he always felt like people was against him," Jenny Ductant said. "No one was for him, everyone was against him."
Several homeless people who live around the area where the gruesome attack occurred said they knew Eugene, and said he often looked confused.
"I was actually talking to him the other day," an unidentified homeless man told Local 10 News. "It's pretty weird."
Eugene, who was growling like an animal as he swallowed pieces of flesh, had to be shot at least six times before he died on Saturday. What prompted the hideous attack — and what kind of drugs, if any, Eugene was on — remained a mystery Monday.
Cops said it might be a case that involved a new type of synthetic stimulant called “bath salts” or “plant food,” which can cause users to become paranoid and aggressive.

Newborn Stolen, Mother Shot Dead Outside Texas Hospital

SPRING, Texas — A newborn boy was abducted from his dying mother after she was repeatedly shot outside a suburban Houston pediatric center on Tuesday, according to investigators searching for the suspected shooter who sped off with the infant in a blood-stained Lexus.
Kayla Marie Golden, 28, was walking to her pickup truck after a checkup with her 3-day-old son, Keegan, when she had a verbal altercation with a woman in a Lexus parked next to her, Montgomery County sheriff's Lt. Dan Norris said.
Witnesses said the woman repeatedly shot Golden, took the infant and sped away, hitting they dying mother as she screamed "my baby" and tried to reach into the Lexus, Norris said. Witnesses also reported hearing as many as seven gunshots and said a man also was in the Lexus, which is blood-stained on the driver's side, Norris said.
The infant was last seen wearing a green-and-white one-piece outfit displaying the word "handsome."
The shooting happened just after 2 p.m. outside the Northwoods Pediatric Center in Spring, which is about 20 miles north of Houston. A statewide emergency alert has been issued for the baby.
Witnesses described the shooting suspect as a thin, gold-haired black woman, apparently in her late 20s or early 30s, Norris said. They also said the Lexus was sky blue or light green.
Joshua Jesson said he was in the clinic with his girlfriend when he heard gunshots. He said he saw the Lexus next to the pickup truck, then later looked back and saw the car was gone and a woman lying in the spot where the Lexus had been parked.
"I thought she just passed out. Then somebody ran in here and said, `Somebody got shot,'" he said.
Police quickly surrounded the clinic and much of the parking lot with crime-scene tape, and yellow markers were placed next to a purse and pair of brown sandals near a red pickup truck. Spent ammunition also was nearby.
The clinic is in an area thick with strip malls.

Brian Stann knocks out Alessio Sakara, then stops fight without help from referee (VIDEO)

UFC middleweight Brian Stann is a fighter, a Marine, and recently, a commentator for Fox. He's used to wearing many hats, so it's no surprise that during his UFC on Fuel 2 win over Alessio Sakara, he was both fighter and referee.
Stann knocked Sakara down with a bevy of knees in the first round. While in Sakara's guard, Stann knocked his opponent out with short elbows. When he saw Sakara was clearly out, he pulled back, waving to referee Marc Goddard that Sakara was knocked out.

Though MMA rules indicate Stann would not have been wrong to continue the bout until Goddard stepped in, he didn't want to inflict any more damage on Sakara.
Immediately after the bout, UFC president Dana White tweeted, "Brian Stann is one of the classiest people on Earth!" Light heavyweight champ Jon Jones, a training partner of Stann's, called the win "very classy" and "good for the sport."
Stann is already known as one of MMA's good guys. He started fighting after a decorated career with the Marines. He founded Hire Heroes, a not-for-profit whose aim is to help veterans transition to civilian jobs. Just before he was scheduled to leave his Atlanta home to train for the Sakara fight in New Mexico, his brother-in-law died. Instead of leaving his grieving wife, Stann trained at home and communicated with his coaches through videos.
As Ben Fowlkes from MMA Fighting wrote, he's such a good guy, you almost want to hate him. Except, he's also the kind of good guy who will stop a fight when he sees his opponent has been knocked out.
