CITRA, Fla -- Victoria Eltonya Bynes, of Citra, was arrested Saturday after she allegedly doused her boyfriend's genital area with gasoline and set him on fire, reports The Gainesville Sun.
Her boyfriend, Andrew Williams, 42, also of Citra, was transported to Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville with serious injuries.
His condition Sunday was unknown, reports the Sun.
According to Marion County Sheriff's Office reports, Bynes went to William's mother's home looking for him.
Bynes reportedly told the mom that, "Your son has some explaining to do," and left. She then went to another home where she found Williams.
The resident of the second home called deputies to report that a fight had broken out between Bynes and Williams and that Bynes threw a liquid on Williams and lit him on fire, according to the Sun.
When deputies arrived at the scene, Williams was kneeling in the yard, covered in a blanket, with second-and third-degree burns on his genital area and torso.
He couldn't respond because he was in pain, according to the Sun.
When deputies found Bynes at her home, she initially told them she did not know why they were there -- but later she told the deputies she knew what had happened and 'fessed up to the horriific act.
She said she and Williams began struggling over the bottle and knew he was sprayed with gasoline.
She said she was flicking her lighter when she dropped it into Williams' lap.
She also said Williams was sitting on the ground and appeared to be fine as she drove away, according to the Sun.
Bynes was charged with aggravated battery and was taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was released on $10,000 bond early Sunday morning.
